Salesforce Development
Admin, Apex, Lightning Web Components and Agentforce.
Salesforce runs sales and customer service at a huge number of companies, and India has one of the largest Salesforce talent pools. Learn the platform with a free Developer Edition org: data model, security, Flow automation, reports, SOQL, Apex, triggers and testing, Lightning Web Components, integrations, DevOps, and AI with Agentforce, then build an app and plan your certifications.
You will be able to
- Set up a free org and learn with Trailhead
- Model data with objects, fields and relationships
- Configure security and automate with Flow
- Write SOQL, Apex, triggers and tests within governor limits
- Build Lightning Web Components and integrations
- Understand Agentforce and plan Salesforce certifications
Who it's for
Freshers and developers interested in the Salesforce ecosystem (admin, developer or consultant roles).
Before you start
None for admin topics; basic programming for the developer module

Lessons
Module 1
Platform basics
The platform, your free org, data and security.
What Salesforce is and the roles around it
Understand what Salesforce actually is (a cloud platform, not just a CRM app), how its products fit together, and which jobs exist around it, so you can pick a learning path with your eyes open.
Get a free Developer Edition org and start Trailhead
Create your own free Salesforce Developer Edition org, find your way around Lightning Experience and Setup, and start learning on Trailhead. Every later lesson in this track assumes you have done this.
Data model: objects, fields and relationships
Learn how Salesforce stores data in objects, fields and relationships, then build the Brew & Bean ordering data model in your own org: custom objects, lookup and master-detail relationships, a formula field and a roll-up summary.
Security model: profiles, permission sets and sharing
Salesforce controls who can log in, which objects and fields they can use, and which individual records they can see. Learn the layers, how profiles, permission sets, roles and sharing rules fit together, and how to choose the right one.
Module 2
Admin and automation
Flow, reports and the Lightning UI.
Automation with Flow
Flow is Salesforce's main tool for automating work without code. Learn the flow types and building blocks, then build a record-triggered flow that creates a follow-up task when a Brew & Bean order becomes Ready, and learn to test and debug it.
Reports and dashboards
Turn the records in your org into answers. Build tabular, summary and matrix reports, filter and group them, make a custom report type, and put the results on a dashboard for Brew & Bean.
Lightning App Builder and page layouts
Learn how page layouts, compact layouts, Lightning record pages and apps fit together, then build a custom record page and app with visibility rules, all without code.
Module 3
Developer
SOQL, Apex, LWC, integration and DevOps.
SOQL and SOSL
Learn to read Salesforce data with SOQL: filters, dates, relationship queries, aggregates and bind variables in Apex. Then use SOSL to search across objects.
Apex basics
Learn Apex from scratch: types, collections, loops, classes, DML, error handling and bulk-safe habits. You run everything in your own org and finish with a reusable service class.
Apex triggers and governor limits
Write an Opportunity trigger with a handler class, learn the context variables, and understand governor limits. Learn bulkification so your code survives 200 records at a time.
Testing Apex
Write Apex test classes that create their own data, cover happy, error and 200-record bulk cases, and meet the 75% deployment rule with assertions that actually prove behaviour.
Lightning Web Components
Build a searchable account list as a Lightning Web Component: set up VS Code and the Salesforce CLI, call Apex with @wire, deploy to your org and place the component on a Lightning page.
Integration: REST APIs and platform events
Call the Salesforce REST API, publish your own Apex REST endpoint, make outbound callouts with a Named Credential and test them with mocks, then publish and subscribe to platform events. Learn which integration tool fits which job.
Salesforce DX, sandboxes and deployment
Learn how professional Salesforce teams work: source in Git, a Salesforce DX project, scratch orgs, sandboxes, change sets versus CLI deployment, and the test coverage rule for production. You create a project, deploy Apex and run tests from the command line.
Module 4
AI and career
Agentforce, a full project and certifications.
AI in Salesforce: Agentforce and Einstein
Understand how AI works inside Salesforce: predictive Einstein features, generative AI and Agentforce agents. Learn topics, instructions and actions, how Flow and Apex become tools, how the Trust Layer helps, and how to design a safe first agent.
Project: event booking app on Salesforce
Build a complete event booking app on Salesforce: custom objects and a roll-up, a permission set, a bulk-safe Apex trigger with tests, a Lightning Web Component for booking, a confirmation Flow, and a report and dashboard. Finish with stretch goals and a portfolio checklist.
Salesforce careers and certifications
See the main Salesforce roles, which certifications suit freshers and developers, how to build proof of skill with a project and Trailhead, a 12-week study plan and the interview questions to practise. Learn to avoid exam dumps and paid job promises.
